Is the Spanish a machine translation?
No. Every question, option and explanation was written in both languages using consistent professional clinical Spanish. The CCMA workforce is heavily bilingual and the terminology has to be right.
How is the CCMA actually scored?
NHA converts your raw score into a scaled score from 200 to 500 using item response theory, and 390 is the cutline. That works out to roughly 78% of the 150 scored questions — about 117 correct. The 30 pretest questions do not count, and you cannot tell which ones they are.
Where do the clinical facts come from?
Every clinical value is checked against the controlling authority rather than a textbook summary — CDC for infection control, OSHA for bloodborne pathogens and sharps, CLSI for order of draw and specimen handling, AHA for BLS. The source is named in each explanation.
